Jacques Paquin est le fils de Roger Paquin et de Émilienne Dufresne. En juin 1958, Roger écrit que son fils Jacques s’intéresse à continuer la culture de sa terre de Portneuf, terre de son premier ancêtre, Nicolas, qui s’y est établi en 1709 après avoir d’abord cultivé une terre à Deschambault. Il est dit cultivateur en 1967, journalier en 1976, producteur forestier en 2004, célibataire en 1976. La cueillette de données biographiques sur le créateur est en cours.
